WR 327 - Technical Writing

Technical Writing gives students continued practice in writing with an emphasis on the rhetorical and critical thinking demands of writers in the social sciences, business, the hard sciences, computer science, and engineering.

Students in WR 327 benefit from the experience and know-how of industry professionals who practice technical writing genres in their workplace every day. Past visitors include architect Jane Barker, product experience leader Ron Sparks, and web communications specialist (and playwright!) Sara Freedman.

Students produce instruction manuals and conduct usability testing for local organizations and small businesses, which allows them to craft professional usability reports for their clients.
